Anahata Retreat, Ashvem: Beach Bliss Franco-Indian Style
The most exciting new development this season, Anahata is located on a quiet and secluded stretch of Ashvem beach. What’s unique is that they have permanent cottages close enough to the beach to hear the waves, because they were built before the CRZ (Coastal Regulation Zone) rule came to be. The restaurant called L’Atelier has a French chef that made a name for himself at a place he had last season called Frichty. His creative French-Indian fusion like Chicken Gulab Jamun and the open kitchen he cooks in will blow you away. The deck above the kitchen has sun beds and the unrestricted views are instant bliss.
Koi, Calangute: Where You Go to See and Be Seen
In the process of launching this weekend, Koi is set to be Goa’s next hot spot. Housed in a classic Portuguese bungalow behind the iconic Snip salon in Calangute, Koi is unique in many ways. For one, it offers a private dining room (tch, tch, wheels turning yet?), an insanely creative menu inspired from the silk route and a delicious long cocktail list (designed by the mixologist owner), and gorgeous Asian themed design inside and out. They even have a Teppanyaki table that a group can book and have their food cooked right in front of them.
